About NexLearn SimWriter®

When we shifted the focus of our company from creating off-the-shelf training and education software to custom development, we relied on what we considered to be our true competitive advantage—our ability to create engaging and effective social simulations. As our client list rapidly expanded, so did our workload.

Before long, we realized that in order to complete every project on schedule, we needed to reduce our development timelines. We also needed a way to lower project costs without sacrificing quality. Essentially, we needed a comprehensive simulation authoring tool that could facilitate every step of the development process: mapping, writing, designing, building, and testing. Our dream development tool would give one person the ability to do the work of an instructional designer, a graphic designer, and an engineer. Needless to say, we wanted a lot.

After a year of internal development, NexLearn SimWriter version 0.1 was born. Over the next several months, we tested, revised, updated, and improved SimWriter before finally creating version 1.0—the first start-to-finish social simulation authoring tool in the industry. We had greatly enhanced our competitive advantage, but we didn’t stop there.
